Fabulous Food
Fabulous Food
I am delighted to introduce our new partner and chef, Jo Luck of Incognito Food.
Our retreats celebrate life and all that it has to offer and a key part of this is the enjoyment of tasty, quality food
created with passion from fresh local produce.
In South East Asian cultures, there is a strong relationship between food and feeling; the word for this is Prasad which means “exchange of love”.
“Cooking is an art and patience a virtue… Careful shopping, fresh ingredients and an unhurried approach are nearly all you need. There is one more thing – love. Love for food and love for those you invite to your table. With a combination of these things you can be an artist – not perhaps in the representational style of a Dutch master, but rather more like Gauguin, the naïve, or Van Gogh, the impressionist. Plates or pictures of sunshine taste of happiness and love.”

A note from our chef Jo: ![]()
“My greatest passion has always been good food (and wine!) and I have been cooking for families and friends for more than 10 years. I insist on working with the freshest ingredients and cooking to the very highest standards.I started Incognito Food to pursue my passion for cooking for others. While doing what I enjoy the most, I’ll improve the quality of your life by preparing delicious fabulous meals for you. I look forward to meeting you soon.”
Foodie Feedback
“Hi Lara, I was initially sceptical coming to my first retreat, wondering if anything could be achieved in such a short space of time, I was wonderfully surprised, from the warm welcome, to the pampering, to the food and the personal attention.
I left the weekend looking forward, beginning to leave the past behind me – with all its baggage, fully supported by you it helped me pose an important question in my life – Is it possible to bathe in Jo’s Lemon Cheesecake!!!!
PS. I was going to add I liked the food so much I’ve taken the cook home for my own party but I’m jealously trying to keep her a secret so she doesn’t get too popular.”
